Amaroo Park (now landfill) - what was it like to drive on?

I remember fondly as a child one of my fav tracks to visit was Amaroo Park (Mainly due ot the memory of getting rained in under a tarpolan - fun for a lil kid).
But as a circuit, what was it like to drive on? I was young so dont remember what the track was like... can someone who was lucky enough to drive on it when it was running give me a quick describer?
Thanx.

it was a narrow track, heading up the straight over the hill was fun because before you knew it you were hard on the anchors
for a tight right hander.
lot of turns and the final right corner leading back onto
the straight called for hard braking to avoid hitting the wall
in front of you ( plenty of lockup marks there )
all in all a fun little track & a shame its gone

i loved that place. i was always there watching my dad race his datsun 1000. i remember how cool the smell of burning rubber and brakes were at the time.
everynow and then i watch the old video of dad racing at oran park and amaroo from the early 90's.
