Injectors URGENT Tue, 14 December 2004 00:33 Go to next message
I need to buy a new set of injectors for my 7MGE. I have been quoted $550 for a new set of 6. I was wondering if any of you know a better place to get them from? (By better i mean cheaper) I have been told to stay clear of second hand ones.

7M injectors are lying around everywhere ...
7MGTE injectors are 440cc so are pretty big and could probually be found for a cheaper price than $550

I`ve got mines for $250 and they works well.

If you can judge by petrol spending than my full tank is good for about $450kms (runing stock boost in every day driving).

cheers

You're getting ripped off, change your mechanic. they are in the vicinity of $20-35 an injector to service and test. Factor into that, labour to pull them out and put them back in, and I still can't see you hitting $700.

i pulled them out myself. Doing rocket cover at same time as leaking oil into the spark plug holes. He charged me nothing to have them tested, and said that 1 of them doesnt pulse and is stuck open and 2 other ones are only closing 40 percent. Said they are beyond just a clean. Think i am just going to go with the new ones for $550.
