Hi Guys,
Can anyone help solve this mystery. I drive a Corolla AE101 and the tail light needs replacing almost every month! If I'm lucky I might get a good use of a new bulb for 2 months max. What's going on? I've checked the watts and voltage as per required from the manual, but that didnt help much.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere, check your wires to see if is any damage.

Are the globes blowing or the fuse?

If it is the globes, what brand do you use? Steer clear of Austa globes. These are normally what the servo's sell and they are crap. Also check the earths.

If it is the fuse that is blowing then as ZZT231 suggested it is probably going to be a short.

Good luck

Brad

Edit: Oops just reread your post and it says you replaced the globes Embarassed so it probably won't be a short. Check that the globes are a tight fit and the contacts are clean.

Thanks guys for your help. I will check the wiring for shorting. The globes I've used so far are Trifa and TWU.
