About the only difference between the two (as far as engine conversions go) is the RA65 is EFI from the factory, while the RA60 is not. This will make it slightly easier to sort out the fuel system, so the RA65 is the way to go.
I'd go for the RA65 anyway since it has IRS and many of them have the stronger F series diff, which will be a definite plus when you double the car's original power output!
Oh yeah, and the RA65 looks way better than the RA60 IMO.

norbie - you rekon many of the ra65's have the F diff.
which ones would that be.
I thought all would be the same, and I thought that meant 'T' diff.

The Stock RA-65's output is roughly an impressive figures of 87 KW which is better then its predecessor (SA63) with 73 KW. If you have any questions i reckon you should try and get in contact with Stefan, he owns an RA-65 so he can tell you the ins and outs of the car.
Good hunting for a decent RA65.
Cheers.

Most of the RA65's I've seen have had an F-series diff. That'd mean you could swap in a Mk2 Supra LSD too which is a bonus.

If your looking at this conversion i have the late mdl 1ggte in a soarer 1/2cut, with both sumps. one to suit the RA65. I also have the flywheel to make it manual. It comes with a SA63 to trial fit or even drive!
Looking for $2000 (no less)
engine
looms
sensors, mounts etc etc etc
intercooler and all pipes
auto box, flywheel for manual,
run's in half cut, with brakes etc in 1/2cut so its a very full package have to see the 1/2cut to belive how complete it is.
I'm in Melbourne south east subs
