This happened to my friend last thursday night on the lappy track.
He was at the lights waiting for them to go green, not doing anything wrong and then someone knocks on his windscreen. THE FNK Cops. they ask him to pull over (in the fnk intersection) and they start going over his car with a fine tooth comb.
He was there for 20 mins while they were doing this practically in the middle of the road.. they ended up giving him 3 fines.
1 for defective vehicle... toeball infront of number plates
1 for horn (yes horn) not working
and 1 for his number plate peeling (but he has 14 days to get new plates).
overall his fines total over $350.
If i ever get pulled over like this i'm going to keep a log of the offercers names the date and after the third time of them pulling me over and not finding any defects i'm going to complain for harrassment.

Just keep driving till you get to your mates place! Then when you get there tell them to come out and watch over the cops sholders! This really upsets and desterbs them! And the sweet thing is there is nothing they can do about it! Thats right, if you dont feel safe to pull over where you are just keep driving till you do!

Speak to your Soilicitor about it! What I have said is 100% true! You are allowed to keep driving till you feel safe to pull over! Of course if you have just rolled a servo and the cops have found you I dont think this will work! But if you are just driving down the road doing nothing wrong then yes this is correct! They are not allowed to forcefully make you pull over if you have done nothing wrong! So if you dont speed, go through a red light etc etc etc you are doing nothing wrong!

Alright im drivin down Belair Road on my way to skool.. My car has an exhaust so it sounds fast, its actually pretty piss weak in a straight line (racing suspension good for corning tho), anyway just cruising down at a casual speed about 60-70. VX commo comes from nowhere right up my ass, check out the driver, i see a cop uniform, so i just stick to the speed limit right. get to the straight by Windy Point and he boots past me..i still drive casual..get round the hairpin and hes goin slow again, waits for me to catch up and boots off again.
We get to the bottom,at the lights by Springbank Rd. I just look over at him and laugh at him (coz im heaps gona race a cop!) He seems to get offended and a little up the road pulls me over.
He says to me "mate, im just going to look over your car"
He wants to defect my car.....Well stiff shit he cant!!!
I say to him "mate if your gona try and defect my car..dont bother, see this big fat sticker on my windscreen..That means its already DEFECTED!!!!"
i love this my car is immune to defection, coz its already DEFECTED, i dont have to worry about that shit any more

Well you see, coz the cops are being wankers and defecting too many cars there is huge waiting list to have your car inspected at Regency...So once you have the defects on the defect list you can take your car down to the "Pig Pen" and theyll give you clearance to drive it until your appointment at Regency

a friend at skool's dad is a cop and he told me that cops have to defect a certain number of vehicles a month and give out a certain number of fines.

Yep i'm a victim of the revenue raising, got defected on august the 10th still defected now..hopefully it will be cleared 2morrow, and yeh it is a revenue raising thing traffic cops have a quota they have to meet ie on the spot fines defects ect. recently the cops have been cracking down on defects only they are being right wankers about it and defecting nice looking imports and other nice cars, i've only seen one POS torana defected. ive seen hell corolas skylines, hondas ect ect. i even asked the inspector the first time i was there what kinda cars he gets in to inspect and he said in the last 6 weeks hes seen about 15 at the most POS cars that had like bad rust blowing hell smoke ect ect. he said he mostly gets in imports with loud exhausts low suspension and those type of things. Really shits me off my car if anything is SAFER with stiffer springs and heavy duty sway bar at the rear and twin cam sway bar at the front but no this is a defect. Also my mate had his car defected Series 5 RX-7 13 turbo he had a half roll cage recaro seats and a 4 point racing harness, no he had to have this al removed because it wasn't factory!!! Unbeliveable!! u can't make ur cars safer!!

Its bullshit cops like those mentioned that make me wonder if i should do up my car, or buy a new one etc if all im going to be doing is hassled. I know that if i were to mod my car, get it engineered etc...n keep it within the guidelines of the RTA... i would still be hassled by powertrippin cops that have nuttin better to do than sit on da side of da road drinking their coffee n eating their doghnuts n then pulling over any car that looks good...especially those wid big fkn P'sand P's on the car!!!!

just the fact that cops can defect almost any vehicle over 5 years old is rediculous.
they just decide to choose people who like their cars, and mod them.
then if they cant find anyhting major wrong, they go for stuff like the horn not working and the toe-bar ball obscuring the number plate.... what a crock.
which is why I plan to make sure the supra is perfectly engineered, 100% road legal, so I can very pleasantly tell the cops to go shove it, and have the documents to prove it.

Not happy....
Got pulled over today by a cop...i wasnt doing anything wrong... i thought was going to be a random breath test... neway the cop comes over... starts taping on my window so i wind it down... i find out that he is my mates Dad, so i ask him how he was etc, n why he had pulled me over.
He simply told me that they were behind budget for the month and were randomly pulling people over to go over their cars to see if they have any defects!
I laughed at him lol n told him hed have a hard time finding one on mine cos my car is stock... but he being a tight ass cop... searched all of my car, and defected me for my rego sticker..just touching the tinted part of your windscreen! Well he didnt really defect me cos i knew him, but he said that it could b defected so i best move it down a little bit...
i was like ffs... its 3mm above where it should be so get ova it but he assured me that it can b defected!
This shows just how Ego Hungry the police and government are! im sick of their petty ways of trying to catch people going about their normal day...when they should be out catching real fugitives!!!!

Revenue raising at its finest:
I got done for riding my bicycle through a "red circle" at 3am in the morning, on my way to work. I anticipated the lights, and the other lane was already orange ... not to mention i was the only vehicle within cooee.
$60 ffs! I was riding my BICYCLE to WORK at 3am coz I cant afford a CAR ... cunts! took my entire days pay.
Nothing better to do. They even thought it was funny that I be riding to work at this time of night. Cunts!
