This is kind of a bit off topic, but as for stupid things going for bullshit prices.... today on the news they were talking about a museum got a donation and could buy a bunch of aussie paintings... they also showed footage of a 'white canvas' that was worth about 75,000... i think it was a canvas painted white.. could have been a plain canvas but fuck! Someone can give me 75k for a white canvas... for that i may even draw a little stick figure on it.... Some paintings look like someone was just carrying paint, tripped over and spilt it.... and they go for ridiculous amounts of money !!!
How do they get worth so much?

Yeh i hate contemporary art!!some spastic splashes red with a bit of white then makes a straight brushline through the middle, sells it for 200k and dickheads stand around it explaining how it represents the strugle of women through the 50's and the following uprising of feminism...GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!! I could shite a better painting! did anyone ever see that pommy show Faking it? where they had to put people with only 4 weeks training into a perticular role and then get a panel of experts to pick out of 4 people who the imposter was!there was one episode where they had this bloke pretending to be a contempory artist, out of all the experts(national art critics) no one picked him to be the imposter..
