hi people... im a noob at cars and stuff so bare with me if i dont know what u guys are talking bout...
Ive got a 95 rv corolla and just recently the fan decided not to work on an extremly hot day. The needle went up 2 small bar things away from the red bar thing?? I turned the car off straight away and when it cooled down i drove it to a mechanic to look at the fan. He pushed a few wires around and turned the a/c on and stuff and the fan turned back on. I was just wondering, would this wreck the engine (the really high temperatures i mean).
Thanks

If it didn't go off the dial, there's not much to worry about. Also, if the fan's not working, so long as you keep the car moving at a reasonable pace, then it doesn't matter too much, as the fans purpose is to keep air moving through the rad when the car isn't moving. The fan can't create a 120km/h wind through the rad!
