mx73 cressida engine overhaul Sun, 19 December 2004 04:26 Go to next message
I live in Melbourne (North Balwyn) and have a 1985 cressida whose engine is leaking oil (both sump and transmission seals) and burning oil (I've read that is probably due to valve stem seals wearing out). I'm told it is not worth fixing but I'm not sure that's right ... the car is otherwise running well and still gives a very comfortable ride.

What do the members think about this? Can any of the Melbourne members recommend a place that might do a good job overhauling it please? Thanks...

How much do you want to spend?
Are you doing it all yourself? or getting it all done professionally?
