Hey my old man wants a smaller account for the our broadband account.
the only choice we have with bigpond it 500mb @1500/256kbps or unlimited.
we were thinking of something more along the lines of 1-2 gig a month.
if anybody knows any company that can give me that kind of plan it would be great.
and yes i did search but i'm getting doughnuts

I'm with swiftel, they're good and aren't too big (the big companies don't care about the little people and take longer to do everything and generally screw you round more).
What I'd reccomend is the "512k Ultra-Lite" for $40 a month. If you use another gig, then it'll cost an extra $5. Which is SFA.
You wouldn't really need that much faster if your only using 2 gig a month.

$99.95 for static IP 1500/256 10Gb Shaped (which they rarely do, even if you go over!)

I just got Telstra Cable at home.
Uncapped d/l speed, 128 up.
'10gig' limit, then shaping, but a friend usually gets shaping around 30gigs.
And only $60 a month!

adsl is about to go thru a shakeup period considerignt he release of adsl2/adsl2+ and the possibility of the energy companies even providing broadband that makes adsl look like dialup soon over their power lines
wait until the 2nd 1/4 is my advise and see whats changed by then before comitting

TPG are shit
A few of my mates are on TPG and they keep swearing AT them.
Never update people (Swiftel do SMS alerts when they're down and how long they expect to be down for) and generally treat the customer like crap.
