Hi,
I got these JDM original RA25 mirrors from Toyota (Japan) some weeks ago, but have been a bit slack in getting some pics done.
So, with no further ado, let me present these pics. You'll notice the door mirror is still in place. This will be removed and the hole welded over when she goes for a total respray (same colour) in the New Year. Also, I use the door mirror as my training mirror while I get used to these piddly, unmovable convex glass thingies that are attached six feet in front of me!

Hi,
Thanks guys.
The mirrors are new-old stock. I was very surprised when Toyota replied and said they had 2 pairs of original mirrors in stock. So, I grabbed me a set.
The paint is still pretty good, but up close you can see some little scratches and a few baby sized dings.
Before I get it resprayed I gotta get a job, so I can pay for the respray and get myself a shitbox car to drive so I can keep the old girl off the road as much as possible.

Yeah, I s'pose you're right. God knows what damage my plastic, spring mounted fender mirrors could do to a pedastrian.
I guess, in the interests of pedastrian safety, I should be driving a massive 4WD with humongous metal bull-bars.

who cares about the pedestrian if they get hit they should have known better not to walk infront of a RA25 in the 1st place!

Hi,
Ahhh.. got ya now!
If I ran someone down, and it was their fault, and the car was damaged, I'd have to kill them (if they're not already dead).
Yeah, you can't see as much as door mirrors, but then I never look behind me anyway. 
Mind you though, the passenger-side fender mirror covers the blind spot of the C-pillar and, considering I've never had a passenger-side door mirror, this is a bonus. The driver-side mirror takes a bit more getting used to. You can't see as much as the door mirror, but, if a car is passing you, just as they have almost left the interior rear mirror they show up on the fender mirror. I'm starting to get used to it now.
In any event, they still don't have the field of view of a door mirror - which probably explains why Japs aren't the greatest of drivers. I dunno if Japan has changed its laws regarding these mirrors and if they use fender mirrors anymore.
