4AGZE slow as... 66kws at fw slow.

as you can expect i am not very happy.
was at dyno yesterday to test my car for the very first time, results not good.
66fwkws.
dont know of the problem as of yet, just wanted to raise this question incase some of you guys might have encountered a similar problems.
the mechanic side seems fine, i can hear the supercharger winds in so i know the charger is engaging, i have an 164mm pulley and aftermarket ecu the air/fuel .
but i am shocked at the low power of this baby.
i am to understand a stock standard map 4agze does atleast 85 - 90 kws at the front wheels.

Dude that sucks you should have at least 95fwkw. Hope you sort it out. Perhaps your ems is out of whack. Perhaps a tune is in order
Whats an incomplete dyno? Is there another local dyno you could try?

Did the tuner hook up the electronic clutch to engage the supercharger? That'd be my guess ...

Which dyno was it tuned on, specifically?
Might be time for a new tuner....
Dale (10sec_rx7) from the twincam forums is located in castle hill and does some extremely good work, yet to hear a complaint about him at all. He's not a fan of EMS but is more than capable of tuning it for you. Unigroup engineering is also another alternative how ever I know of a few mixed results from them.

do you hafta hook up the electronic clutch?
the engine was taken str8 out of the halfcut and put straight in so there was no playing around with the charger and whatnot.
so everything was intact so im assuming the charge clutch was already connected in the halfcut?
i took out the cat to see if it was a block exhaust system but no changes just a hell of a noisy car that went no where.
yea, too bad these folks are all near or are on holiday i guess i hafta wait till after new years.
i got my car tuned at incar motorsport at smithfield.
not the best of names but a good bloke nevertheless.
im located near liverpool so if you guys can direct me to some one local it would be great.
thanks for the replies.

are u still runnin stock ecu
if not then the clutch need to be hooked up to an output on new ecu for the super charger
if u are runnin an older plug 4agze and stock ecu aswell then some wires get left behind in the front cut

well is the smc pin on the factory ecu connected to anything
is the ems just a piggy back
the ems should have an output to trigger the supercharger relay

why not use a Toymods Sponsor? such as Silverwater Automotive Services (SAS)?
THey recently did bigworm's RA23, and in my opinion are very trustworthy.

Obviously the car wasnt making enough power, and the dyno guys by the sound of it didnt even try to work out, or give you an explination why.
Yup, sounds like you need to go somewhere else.

the first thing i would do is get the car dynoed somewhere else to get their opinion on the tune, if the car is running too rich u will loose power and if ur not runnin enough timing the power figures will be down also.

if std 4age's pull close to 65kw and you made 66 in a 4agze , then sounds to me that the charger isnt doing its thing.
i dont know how the chargers are set up on these but if theres a clutch to do with them then that most likely sounds like it isnt engaging.
i assume they are direct drive off of the crack so im guessing the thing would still boost up but its just not given it...
just a thought...like i said i havent dealt with the gze's.
Hope this helps.
Nathan
PS i too recomend JEM... always keen to chat and help.

If you can hear the SC whine then its engaging. Get a boost gauge on there and see what it is producing.
I would say either timing is way way way out, its running way lean, or you have a serious intake blockage.

If you are using the original map in the ems , it will be pretty dam rich , get it tuned.
