This thread is an example of what happens when one engages in excessive chroming.

plating. lots of prep & finish polishing, and differences in quality depending on how much they want to do on it & length of time in the copper & nickle & chrome tanks.
if you have to ask how expensive it is, then you probably can't afford it.

if you need the bling bling that bad, go down to super cheap and get a can of pre-sol and chrome in spray can, total of about $20.

Yes, the whiteboard markers are the best, and it's easier to clean the stuff from your nostrils as opposed to the permanent markers.

The polished aluminium XJ in that Jaguar add looks pretty smooth i rekon. I think Maserati used to make polished steel bodies for some of their old open-wheeled racers too... so a chromed car could look alright if it was done well, a polished stainless TA22 would be nice too

hahah damn i don't think the volitile substances act cover enough substances, did you know we can refuse sale of most of those items if we suspect misuse of the items, i think its a very dodgey and boarder line security proticol.
why do you want crome its heavy and shiny, its so look at me copper, i wanna be defected now!!!

as far as i know you cannot legally have a fully chromed car registered... for show yes but not driveable... something about too much reflection of the sun
but on chroming im getting all my pieces chromed... like the front/rear bar, head light surrounds and GT grill, GT bonnet vents and rear quarter plastic vents and the rear tail light surrounds and centre piece (centre piece is still under consideration but im thinking might as well sicne iv done everything else)
the nars are costing $180 each, grill and head light surrounds are $200 all up, GT vents are $150 the pair and the plastics are $400... spo thats a total of 11 pieces for $1110
