Hey has anyone got any funny reasons for turning up to work late.
One of my friends turned up to work 2 hours late and when the boss asked him where he had been he replied having a root.

i got this one the other day (it was true tho he showed me the proof)
I went out to the site and when i was getting out of my car my pants ripped right up the arse.
So i had to drive back home then into town to get new pants then back to the site.

am still at home waiting for tradesmans to fix the <insert one from the list below>. They said they would be here at 7:30 today and have just rung to say they're late but are on the way - and i need to go over he job with them...
fwiw, my partner and self have wasted over 2 working weeks over the last 3 months, waiting in vain for tradesmen to turn up for our renovation work - the actual building contractor has been 100%, but any subbie he or i have arranged has been piss poor.
list:
electrician, plumber, roofing repairer, aircon installer.

When a tradesperson's late it usually because the previous retard customer(s) has decided not to tell them vital information when they've called them - eg: inaccessible ceiling space, 2 story house, metre thick bluestone walls, etc, etc, and the job's taken 10 hours instead of 3.... Doing work on people's crap falling apart 50+ year old houses is not an exact science and there's always headfucks involved so just take a chill pill.
