4AGZE's are tough!

Went to the drags at Kwinana tonight to watch my mate. Decided to look at a burnout comp. There is this old Suzuki Sierra literally killing its tyres doing doughnuts...the engine...4AGZE.
The exhaust came down and finished half-way along the car, no muffler. The exhaust was glowing bright orange, and you could see a big blue flame coming from the exhaust...awesome.
Went down after and spoke to the guy, he said the engine itself wasn't overheating yet at all
PS. Sorry, I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in War Stories, but it'll see more people here

Kool!!!
Thats like an awesome creation I spotted one day... A Mini Moke powered by a 20V 4A-GE mounted above the rear wheels... It was mounted there to try and cope with wheelspin but it didn't work... It wheelspins the entire way down the quarter ...

There was also an awesome Skyline GTR...they were obviously trying to make sure they didn't go less than 11 secs cos they would need a cage. The guy was backing off, or tripping the beams and waiting for a sec or two...bastards worst time was 11.9

heehee... it's like this little SUPER_SLEEPER i saw a few weeks ago....
imagine this... ULTRASTOCK looking old mazda 323, the rwd one, still in the crappy old lime green, stocky 12" wheels and tyres, pee-shooter exhaust, ROOF RACKS, and looking pretty damn beaten up.
THen it lined up....crowds reaction:
"WTF!!! an old mazda 323 vs a 200sx!!! is he dreaming???"
then it took off... again the crowds reaction:
"WHAT THE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARKKKKKKK!!!!!!"
i later found out this, upon this sleeper flogging the crap out of skylines, 13b rx2, silvias, 200sx's, WRX's, etc etc
running 12a turbo
stripped out body - super lightened
all custom work driveline, we thought?
looked under the car... that peeshooter was welded on top of a hidden 4" dumpy (which was very well muffled) so it looked stocker
man this thing literally did nothing but wheelspin, blow flames, sparks, chrip and FVCKEN FLY!!!!
too cool for school this was

Hey,
Funny i should see this thread at this time, as i was on the road with that Suzuki Sierra on Thursday night. Let me just say that it is a BEAST.
Going home from work on Leach Hwy, and coming up to a set of traffic lights there is a longwheel base suzy, and a WRX next to it, and the suzy decides to fang it .. seemed to launch with some guts, and then low and behold, is that a blue flame i see coming out of the back ???
It was giving the WRX a good run for it's money until the rex decided to reclaim some dignity from about 70-100kph. A little later on, at 80kph, he was slightly ahead of me in the left lane and approaching a slower car, and i was in the centre lane. For him to overtake the car before i came up, he had to do it pretty damn quickly, and he zipped away with ease.
So yeh,
if you see a long wheelbase Sierra, with pull back tarp, quad spotties, and jacked right up with huge tyres, remember it's tough!! Pretty entertaining really
Regards,
Liam.

i was pretty disappointed with the burnout vid. i thought the idea was to produce smoke from the wheels.

Haha, yeah, but generally you don't use 4WD tyres in a burnout The things just wouldn't smoke, and you can see there is a LOT of wheelspin!
As for the Suzuki, its quick, but the Rex must have been playing with it, could only crack a high 17 on the night from memory. Louder than it is fast

Yeh,
I just think the rex was suprised to see a Sierra charging twice as quick (and loud) as normal, and then decided to show it up.
high 17's ... nothing flash there
not exactly the best aerodynamics or tyre package for doing quarter miles though :0
Regards,
Liam.
