Buy the book "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell then read it and understand it and go from there. I suggest IF you need to ask this question then you are not ready to perform a turbo conversion yet.

Basics - Turbo, oil lines, water lines, larger fuel injectors (likely) larger fuel pump and associated regulator and fittings (likely), oil drain line, manifolds, intercooler (if you want it right), perhaps lower the comp ratio a tad (depending how much boost you plan on running), up spec the clutch the list goes on.

Maybe you might need to word your sentences better, or dont they teach that anymore.

Dude there is heaps of information on the web, a search in google will bring up over 100,000 sites.

Cheers

Back off guys, he's just asking for a bit of help.

Justin> A turbo conversion is not an easy thing if you dont have your head around what needs to be done.

That said.. read up first so you know exactly what your doing. Secondly it'd be best if you had someone over to give you a hand who knows exactly what theyre doing.

Make sure you have ALL the parts before you start because otherwise it will be delay upon delay.

YelloRolla mentioned basically everything you need, But do you have a plan for Intercooler piping.. Do you have somone who can weld the piping up for you, cut neccessary holes, etc. etc.

It's not a case of bolt the manifold on, bolt the turbo on and drive away.

jeez guys lighten up Cool

there is plenty of info on the web.
you can turbo the stock 4age, but keep the boost low and get a good ecu. tuning is EVERYTHING! if your running a bluetop big port, then keep boost under 10 psi, some ppl claim to run 14 on the stock engine. i wouldnt be game to try that though....
if runnng a later model with higher compression then stay under 6ish.

if you want to run more boost then u will need to fit 4agze pistons. these will only fit later model 4ages with the 42mm rod journals.

my advice is go for it, get GOOD tunealbe ecu that u can get set up locally. and start with 6 psi or so on the stock internals, thats assuming its in good nick....
when getting it tuned (preferably on a dyno) talk to the operater about what he can see on the readouts.. then maybe u can run more boost.
