would it be a good idea to be notified via email that one has a private message. and what are the draw backs. [Report message to a moderator]

Good idea Drawbacks: Increase server load ( well i don't it'd be dramatic? ) Double spam! If i spam your inbox your email is going to get spammed too. Involve some coding which would be a bit tricky on a older forum software. Thats all i can think of, apart from that a great idea. [Report message to a moderator]

alot of forums have the feature to recieve an email when you recieve and pm, maybe they havn't enabled or they don't have it but its a good idea. [Report message to a moderator]
