Clarification of details

Reminder about Wakefield Park Track Day this Mon.
Date: Monday 21st October, 2002.
Meet at: The Shell Petrol Station
Hume Highway (Liverpool)
Near Newbridge rd.
Time: 0730 hrs
Depart: 0800 hrs Sharp

or meet us down at Wakefield Park Raceway in Golburn.

No Speed Limit Days (Open Practice)
Costs:
$71.50 for the day
$27.50 for a Wakefield Clubcomp Licence valid for 12 months

Helmet hire available for $20 per day with a $50 Deposit or
simply bring your own helmet.
New helmets cost $130 outright.

Remember your CB's (so we can talk on the way etc)
and your long sleeved t-shirt or jumper and long pants. They are requirements as a driver on the track.

We had a great day. Weather was great, bit on the hot side but bearable. Pics were hard to obtain since we were driving.

hehe yeah my rear tyres weren't too good Laughing

rest of the day wen't well with mangew seeing the dirt a few times hehe
and the other Matt seeing some tail action with his rolla.

I was being pushed by one of those crazy little swifts and on the corner at the end of the straight I went in a bit hot, stupidly backed off mid corner, to find my ass hanging out way too far with a full opposite lock, ended up spinning to face the guy comming past me hehe.

Ahh yeah and at the end they chucked us on with the race cars cos they weren't gonna run another sessions HEHE they are quick..... I actually over took 2 as well, made me feel good.

I only went onto the dirt to avoid that 200sx. He was pretty aggressive around the track. Didn't want to have a collision. So just braked and went onto the dirt for a few secs then rejoin.
Razz This happened 3 times. I must admit the first one was brake fade into the 2nd corner. The other two were just hesitation caused by those faster cars Rolling Eyes
Though i never spun the whole day. Cool Not like last year. Confused
DirtyHarry (V8 commy) had a spin onto the grass towards end of the day. Think Ribbo did too. Whitegze went good despite crappy stock suspension and exhaust. Setting around 1:25s, prob was the knock sensor kept playing up and had to switch car on & off during driving. I dunno what times i was setting but was going good towards the end of the day especially when we were allowed on with the race cars. We had each corner mastered by then Laughing

That was awesome fun. Thanks for organising Mangew.

I think we all improved after each session and by the last session we were seasoned pro's Laughing Good thing Ribbo spotted me locking up that left rear, I was starting to think my cars handling was really dodgy. Pity my cousin didn't time the last session, was going around much better and there was no traffic in front.

That 200sx was crazy, I'm taking a corner as hard as my rolla will allow and he comes flying past on the outside. He was driving with a real get out of my way attitude.

All of us were driving around on pretty worn tyres, but you definately wouldn't want to drive around there on a new set!!

I though with all the hard driving the engine might get a bit upset afterwards. But get this, on the way back after I dropped off my cuz I booted it and its pulling a bit harder now. Maybe the thrashing cleared something out since I drive like a granny most of the time.
