yeah they can, it was possibly the neo chip last time i looked? and i think they need a laser corrector to stop the laser burning out after a couple of hours

new ps2's are bullshit, just so people cant put HDD's in them
sony are lame, they've done this twice now, and the first time was shite.... got alot to lve upto this one does

actually i was asking coz my nephew got one for christmas. Personally I'd take PC games any day. I was playing gta san andreas the other day and the graphics were shocking.

I grabbed one the other day... they are so small!
Who gives a toss about the hard drive anyway... use a USB HDD or something.
There are already a few modchips for them... search for pstwo modchip or similar on google.
Most modchip sites call them v12 ps2's but some call them v11, either way they are the SCPH-70002 ps2's.
Mine will definately be getting chipped once I've stuffed around with it for a month or so to make sure it isn't going to fault on me.
