if i get you the bit of wire that is sewn into the boot, or rather 2 of them, reckon you could get an extra one made? black, fake suede or something?

I can manage that - I'm going to the little trimmers, so it wont be cheap (apparnelty they're quite pricey, but from what I've seen their work is flawless)
are you after the suade?
I'm tossing up between suede and some sort of fake vinyl polymer thing - similar to joorsh's

I'll pick up a s/hand boot from the wreckers on the way home.

mike - it might be easier if ed or I grab one from a wreckers up here - save you posting it 
there are at least 3 ra6x shells at pick n payless, and there was a nice ma61 there as well
I have no idea on prices at the moment - little trimmers are closed till after new years (or at least, they wont answer their phone), so everyone has a little while to get their shit together

reckon they could do my centre comsole lid while theyre at it? same suede material?
ill get both done - and im also happy to go get a bunch of wire inserts for people interstate if they like
