TA22 with updated brakes and performance pads, cant stop her from Squeeling

Hey Peoples,
I have upgraded my brakes with S5 RX7 Calipers and 273mm slotted disks. I am running Bendix Ultimate pads and they are Very Noisy. When i am absolutely Tromping on the brakes, they dont seem to make much noise, but when driven normally they are Squealing to buggery especially at slow speeds. The Brakes and new pads have prolly only done 2000km's and the car is driven only on weekends (Not sure if this means much). Any Suggestions Possibly another Pad or somthing i can do to reduce this Squeal?
Cheers
Rob

have you got anti squeal compound between the pad and the shims also a thin layer between the shim and the piston can help.
better question.. do you have any shims in there at all ?

as toof said. I usually just smear the back of the pads with molly grease and have never had a problem. Also depending on the pad backing plate shape, I usually put some grease around the locating lugs on either end.
Don't put grease on the pad face though .... That should be obvious.

Do you mind me asking how grease on the back of the pad makes any difference? The Calipers are Reconditioned and the pads are new, i was thinking it had something to do with compound??? Unsure

was going to ask the same thing. the anti squeal compound dries kinda like a rubber, works better than grease.
did you break in the new pads?

Hmmm grease anywhere near the brakes seems like a bad idea... what happens when the brakes get hot enough to melt the grease and it starts dripping everywhere? Like on the friction surface for example?
(I worry about this because I've had my brakes hot enough to melt the grease in the wheel bearings, and it makes a hell of a mess....)

Make some anti rattle plates out of some really thin sheet metal and use anti squeal paste.

Must be quite a few anti squeal compounds on the market, all of which get my preference over grease.
Rule 1: New pads on old/new rotors, need to be scuffed before installation. A few figure 8's on the concrete/bitumen, will open up the surface on the pads, and enable them to bed quite quickly.
regards Chuck.

dont say that too quickly, ive seen someone decide that they didnt want to take their brakes apart (more likley they didnt know how) so they put the compound on the rotor and turned the rotor around to distribute it onto the pad. what was even stranger was they they then claimed not only did their brakes still work but they didnt make any noise. the proceeded to reccomend the same technique to someone else.
but yeah grease anywhere near the brakes sounds like a bad idea. the anti squeal compound is only $10 so just get some chuck it on the back of the pads and it will set like a rubber and normally sorts out any squeals.
