I was thinking about taking the layshaft out and using it to hit someone in the head ....
...maybe someone that suggested wood and glue

lol, gearbox always made that noise so i assumed it was normalish lol...
i called up the fella that sold it to me, and he felt really bad, saying he wouldnt sell it to me if he knew it was that bad
oh well, doesnt matter. it's only a gearbox
