I will be in the market shortly for a new daily driver.
NA, 5peed, AIRCON, fuel injected
My current list of possibe cars are:
AE82 Twinky (not seca)
Laser TX3/Ghia KC onward
Celica ST162 SX (3SGE)
think of anything else?

My budget it up to $3000 and the car must be registered. I am after a stock car or one with limited mods. Must be rust free and have a good body/motor/interior. Not after something that needs work.

I am in Newcastle but can travel to the central coast/sydney for the RIGHT car. I have had my time wasted before travelling to see "excellent" cars that turned out to be shit.

Stay away from The lasors, old magnas and sigmas.

U can get a Ke70 for about $1000 with rego and along the lines of 6 months - and they last !

Lookin briefly through trading post, i've seen st162's goin for around 3k
As for RWC or Rego, i didnt read any descriptions to notice if they come with it or not.

And i agree, stay away from sigmas and magnas, as for lasers, they just shit me.

Mate is selling a v6 alfa romeo 86, as is, drive away, nothing wrong it with for 3 grand.

I know it ain't a 4 cylnder but check out the corresponding thread if you're interested.

i know its got nothing to do with this subject but ive just picked up a Nissan Gazelle 1986 model with 7months rego
power everything mirrors, windows, steer, air, cruise control its an auto with a 2.0L engine (CA20) for $1300 best cheap car ive ever owned ..very immaculate runs smooth it even tows my mate 17ft boat with no probs

i rekon those gazelle are a top car better than any laser or anything close to its range ...
consider a gazelle ...+ SR20 snap strait in

its not a twincam but still runs great.
i have had it for just under a year and
never had a problem with it.
