Ok, it is a Zenki but as it was a long time ago he cant remember if it is 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 way. We will work on getting that info, if someone can tell me how to indentify it out of a car, that would be good.

Count the number of splines for the axles.
23 - zenki
24 - kouki
is there a part number on the casing? If so, that would be the only way to determine if it is a 1.5 or 2 way.

All I can get off the carrier is that it is definitely 23 spline.
There is a '3' & a '2' on the bearing side of the crown wheel end and I can see a '4' on the clutch plate.
There is also a '3' on the small end opposite the c/wheel end and a '3' on the clutch pack that end.
There is stamped no.s in the small blocks shown in the centre of carrier '577'.
Looking down the splines 1 end is blank and the other end has a small hole.
Sorry I cant offer more help.
PM sent back.

Well the last 2 posts seem to have an opinion of clutch type lsd's but offer no reason for their apparent lack of interest or attitude towards them. I suppose it all depends on what you are wanting to get out of an lsd.
$300 hey, that really depends on where you come from and how desperate someone is to sell an LSD carrier.

Oh Shit, Sorry I didn't realise this was a forum for Drifters.....I thought it was a forum for anybody with a Toyota that might be looking to make changes to their car be it for road use, circuit use, rally use, motorkana use or autocross use, of which any of these sports would benefit from the type of LSD Carrier, especially if they are running in the classic car section where all parts have to be what was genuine and fitted to that car at the time of manafacture. But then again I suppose all of these sports are insignificant to you as you are quite good at putting down efforts of others to help out people not on the same level as you.
Maybe you'd like to let everyone know who you work for as there is a lot people out there now thinking these carriers are only worth $300 and I'm sure he will get a few calls for these carriers as everyone now wants to pay that much for them.

when mr newfag learns to read, he'll realised i quoted him where he asked what use myself and ae86drift would've wanted it for, since we weren't interested....so i told mr newtool - drift.
sorry you're a useless sack of shit that can't read.
also..if you shop around, and try some places like option1garage, importbits, yahoomotorsport, etc, you'll find that this is all they are worth. but i suppose mr newpoof is too stupid to try that.
if you by chance had a secondhand TRD 2-way, AND it was a full centre, not just the hat, ie, it's got gears, etc, THEN it would be worth $650. but you dont. so, as it's a clutch type lsd hat, and NOT a full center, it's worth $300. your mate got ripped off, or he bought it ages ago, when they were still worth some cash.
so until you grow a brain, you stupid cumstain, do some research on the shit you wanna sell...that way you'll know what its worth, and when someone like myself actually tells you their real worth, you wont go and have a cry like a little kid.

sorry dude, but oem LSD hats arent really that useful for any kind of sport, but that said, even if your using it, people with non lsd t series rear ends (like say a t-18 rear end) wont want to pay $650 for a clutch LSD when they can get 2nd hand 2 way mech LSD's for around 800 anyway.
sorry thats just how it is

i think steve and garth should realise that mr average sprinter driver does not know the advantage of shopping of yahoo japan... if they did, you would see a LOT more jap looking ae86 sprinters flying around and you would also see a LOT more jap parts floating around at cheaper prices
on a sidenote, i agree 650 is to much for a lsd when you dunno what brand, what way or how used it is or not. etc etc but don't call the seller an idiot or anything as he is OBVIOUSLY mr average sprinter owner who probably DID pay that when he bought it...
don't think you'll be selling this anytime soon now lol

Hey look it's been fun. I came on here trying to sell something I had no idea what it was and what is was worth. Steve, I've actually had a bit of a laugh at your responses and a laugh when I was writing mine. If you think I have been serious through any of this I'm very sorry. I have no interest in Toyotas at the moment apart from trying to sell an LSD carrier that was bought 8 years ago for an amount they are obviously no longer worth, but when and if I do I will come back. It will probaby get put in the back of the shed and dragged out when it may be worth more in years to come. At least I can label it and have a rough idea of what it is.
Steve, do you know whether the Carriers were 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 way when fitted in genuine vehicles from the factory floor if you have seen a few of these before? Just for future reference.
After I see your answer I will be unregistering from this forum and concentrate on my usual forums.
Regards
Mr newfag
Mr newtool
Mr newcomer
Stupid cumstain
I may have missed some but then again we all know how good at reading I am, Hey Steve.

import bits etc do not overcharge .. they provide a service as well as supply parts
yahoo.jp is an auction .. u have to arrange everything yourself and if you buy a bad part, it's your problem
