gze BOV.... Sun, 02 January 2005 09:09 Go to next message
ok, i know BOV are a bit of a wank factor thing. i also know they do provide a function.
what i was wondering if they can be used on a GZE engine. even tho the ABV would still be in use. would the BOV affect the running of the engine, i wont be using the AFM (using aftermarket ecu with MAP sensor)

also, if using afermarket ecu can the ABV be removed all together???? im looking at changing the inlet pipes and throttle body, thats why im asking.
advice and pics if available would be sweet

this question has been covered literally 10000 times.

short answer. NO - its stupid. THe supercharger is AFTER the throttle so a BOV would open up vacuum to atmosphere, and thus SUCK IN AIR.

Topic locked - well covered.
