Whats everyones thoughts on this?
ive done some searching and alot of people are saying 'its worth while saving your feet'.
Now thats all well and good 'investment in my safety etc' however can someone produce concrete facts that if i reuse my flywheel bolts with loctite that im going to lose my legs?
Feel free to leave your thoughts, for and against.
(i just dont rate paying $100+ for bolts)

I would re-use them - I use them usually twice.
The flywheel cannot come off if the bolts fail, it is physically held in place between the crank spigot that it sits on and the input shaft of the gearbox (ask Rod try - he sheared the bolts behind a 2T and his legs are still in place because the flywheel never left the bell housing).
Feet get smashed when flywheels and or pressure plates explode (pressure plates to a lesser extent because the clutch cover contains a lot of the damage).

i cant see the issue in reusing them! iv been doing it for years and have never had a problem... its like saying that every time you change your tyres you have to buy new wheel bolts!!!!! I DONT THINK SO

ive always reused the flywheel bolts after inspecting for any obvious damage.. still have my feet.. touch wood they should be fine, I never changed a setr in my race cars and never had any problems, we would regularly change the clutch and pull the flywheel off to inspect the crank during the year.
however if you wanted to be sure you may as well buy a new set

$100? How many bolts are there? Or are they ARP or something? I bought new toyota ones out of necessity for my 1g, they were $2 each.

If you have ARP bolts and know the original bolt length and compare how much they have stretched each time you install them... then so long as its within ARP's specs you should be right.
Even though the clutch is held in by the bearing and input shaft wouldn't the flywheel wobble a lot and get out of balance if a bolt broke? and therefore wouldn't the likeliness of pressure plate and or flywheel explosion greatly increase?
And if the flywheel is out of balance then that couldn't be too good for your bearings could it.
