After comparing the internals of a jap and aus spec fuel tank i can confirm once and for all that they are in fact different. anyone that says they are internally identical is WRONG.
Heres the proof:
Jap tank
Aus tank

Obviously the EFI tanks would be different.. I don't know why anyone tried to argue this! Also, can someone please put this whole 'jap spec' and 'JDM' thing to death? Remember they sold AE86s with 4AGs in places outside Japan, too

Almost any EFI pump will feed a 4AG, as they don't put out a huge amount of power, they don't need a huge amount of fuel. If you want to use something 2nd hand, something off an EFI commodore, or cressida, or basically anything else you find, will do the trick.
