Just curious what sort of power those of you with 3T-GTE's are getting and the mods you have done. I am looking to retain the factory computer setup (no money to upgrade) and was wondering what others have done on a very limited budget. Motor is already in good condition (can't afford a rebuild anyway), totally standard other than water to air intercooler and running 10lbs boost, so I estimate less than 200hp at the moment. From research on the net stock turbo/injectors are only supposed to be good for 200hp, what sort of upgrades do you recommend? Considering a CT26 from a supra 7M-GTE at the moment, what injectors will run with the standard computer to support this? (max 14lbs boost). I understand you can fiddle the standard airflow meter to alter the mixture to suit the injectors, has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance

Callum

Thanks, I already have all the standard specs for the motor. I was more interested in the cheap reliable mods that other have done. Shouldn't need to go too overboard though, only pushing a sub 800kg rear wheel drive starlet...

I have a 3tgte...

standard computer
standard injectors
rebuilt turbo running 14psi
no intercooler (yet)
blow off valve type 3 turbosmart,
turbosmart boost controller.

i would also like to find out what my power output is... i havent had it dyno'd yet... i will when the intercooler goes on.

i would reccomend going a better turbo tho... i dont get much boost below 4000rpm.

I would estimate i am developing 185-200bhp (not at the wheels)..

i am also aiming for 200 @ the wheels.

to do this i have upgraded the fuel lines, and will be adding a t28 turbo, bigger injectors and a well massive intercooler.

i will also be making a new plenum and bigger throttle body.

all this is on hold untill mid january.

celikar, are you gonna keep your stock computer after doing those planned mods?

my current engine state is:
stock computer
stock injectors
big fmic
ct20@7.5psi (stock turbo and boost)
GFB Hybrid BOV(or bosche recirculating bov or sheepdog vent bov)
SARD Trigger boost controller
(this dyno'd at 140rwhp @ 13psi with low fuel pressure and pinging ..the torque was like 160 i think)

planned mods:
new ems?
larger injectors (have a set of 460cc)
rising rate fuel pressure regulator
new fmic
standard rebuilt ct26 @ 7psi (maybe more later)

not sure about the computer... i may go for a cheap microtech as every one knows how to program them.

but yes i will need a new EMS after these mods...

i am also running bigger fuel lines and a bosh motorsport fuel pump.

i was going to go the ct26 but i have been told being a bigger turbo there is more lag involved...

more lag but it shouldnt be too noticeable and your top end should be a lot better ...since my ct20 seem to run out of pull when i hit 115mph Smiley =

no word on the ct26 yet ..

I have this engine in a Mk1 Ford Escort.

Standard injectors
Standard turbo (~13psi according to my boost gauge)
Standard internals
No intercooler
3" exhaust
Pod filter (with no proper cold-air intake)
Autronic SM2 computer.

Previous owner had it dynoed with this setup, and showed 140hp@wheels. Not sure of torque figures.

Future mods: Sell it. Crying or Very Sad

You guys are crazy running more than 10PSI with stock pistons and no intercooler.
