1JZ PCV Valve Diff

Have 2 engines 1 has a straight PCV valve the other has 90 degree bent one, whats the diff? Both engines are soarer type.
Also after hard boosting my first engine would blow that wiff off white smoke out the exhaust. When i put the second engine in the car I swapped over inlet manifolds due to sensors etc. therefore keeping the old PCV valve (straight one). The new engine is also doing the same (white smoke) so i pulled the PCV valve off last night. It would seem i couldnt blow into it which is good, but then i put my finger over the end and blew into it, leaving my mouth on the end i could hear and feel a puff off air coming out when removing my finger. Sound stuffed? BTW when i do the same to my other 90 degree one yet to be tested on the car it does not do this.

Toyota revised the PCV design midway through the TT 1JZ production, it's a generic Toyota part used across various models - I had similar issues with my PCV leaking; PCV would appear to be stuffed, swap them over and you should be fine.
