st204 brake upgrade Thu, 06 January 2005 11:21 Go to next message
Thought I would post on here and get you guys to help me out (this is one area I have no idea about at all). I want to upgrade my front brakes on my ST204 - would love to get some GT4 brakes for the front but I assume they will be quite difficult to source due to the limited numbers of ST205s here in Australia.

What other brakes can be put onto my car? I know this is sacrilege, but Im willing to use non-toyota brakes if they will do the trick. I dont want to have to fabricate anything - I want it easy...

Please pass on any info that will help me.

Leanne

The 205 rotors would probably be a good start. At 315x32mm, they're probably big enough to do the trick as well. You can attempt to find some 205 calipers at the wreckers, you can buy them new (price could be a bit of an issue here...), or you could use other calipers, e.g. Nissan 4 potters. It's really a matter of how good you are at fabricating stuff! Oh, it's also a matter of what you can stuff under your wheels Cool
