Hi guys, just wondering where abouts a racing harness attaches to your chassis, and if your back seats legally have to be removed to have them installed.
Cheers,
Azza.

you'll have to find a good spot to mount the harness points as most cars dont come built with the option of a harness.
id say the back seats have to be removed. the harness would be pretty intrusive to a passenger anyway

mount the harness to the floor just behind the front seat... so it comes up and through the holes and around the sides???
Not sure if it works though

pretty sure that is illegal. Because of the angle or the harness. It actually pulls down instead of back or something like that.
Azza: ring up QLD transport and ask them or an approved engineer.
Also, your car must be pretty damn fast to need harnesses! I am aiming for a 10sec pass and I still have standard seatbelts

you have to mount them at less than i think 40deg from horizontal (unless you want your spine crushed in a crash)
cams manual would be best for technicalities
