1JZ White Exhaust Smoke

I have had 2 different 1JZ'S in my car now, both have blown a puff of white smoke out the exhaust when doing the following:
- Boosting followed by 0 throttle then reapplication of the throttle (small amount of smoke)
- Boosting then braking then reapplication of the throttle (moderate amount of smoke)
- Boosting then braking and changing down gears while breaking (large amount of smoke)
Both engines have shared the same turbos. Both engines shared the same PCV valve until yesterday in which I swapped it but it didnt make any difference. Both engines have shared the same inlet manifold. Seems to be a bit of oil in my intercooler inlet piping considering the car has only done less than 2000 kms.
Could I be that unlucky that both engines have shit valve stem seals, or could it be a turbo seal (oil in piping) cause i thought if the turbo seal was gone id be getting smoke while boosting?
Cheers

I'd be thinking valve stem seals, or a poor tune.
I'm pretty sure that if turbo seals are gone, you will blow smoke under boost only. But I will stand corrected on that.

But this one sounds like it will be the key to the mystery.
I'm not good with turbo's, so I'll leave it to ppl who know.

Valve stem seals? Since the engine is under vacuum when you do this oil would be sucked past the seals into the cylinders.

If it is valve stem seals im an unlucky SOB, 2 engines with the same problem. Whats with all the oil traces in my intercooler piping then?

Didnt you only just swap it over? (the PCV that is)
ie, didn't you do 2000km's with the new motor and the old PCV valve?
Or did you just put the old pcv valve into the new motor, and the 2000kms was with the new pcv valve (the one that came with the new motor)?
Either way, I'm happy for you that its back on the road.

i would run a catch can if i were you. you shoudlnt have oil in the intercooler pipes after 2000 k's.
if you were running high boost ie 16psi constantly for say 10000 i would expect to see a noticeable amount of oil in the piping.
i would say the pcv is dodgy.
but i dont believe these are related to your white smoke issue.
are we talking plooms of smoke or a faint white trail?
i am guessing seals on turbos

CrUZsida: Yes I only swapped the PCV over last night (new motor, old one done 2000km) to see if the other was faulty, so ive triesd2 valves now both havent helped.
J: Ive tried 2 PCV valves now. I have also blown into them to check them out both are the same i.e. If you blow into it you wont notice any air going through, but if you put your finger on the end and blow you can hear a small puff of air when the finger is removed then nothing.
We aint talking plooms of white smoke just a puff or quick cloud.

I hear lots of people having problems with valve stem seals, makes me feel lucky that rolin automotive put brand new ones in for me before they even tested the engine

its mainly because of the engine has been sitting around so long without starting etc, that when they finally start it, and the stress of the motor just firing, blows the seals apart...

So its nothing to do with the rubber going hard from not being lubed?

the rubber goes hard cos its not getting lubed, cos the motor is not being used...does that make more sense?
