thanks for your input.. NEXT PLEASE!!
drums heat up way too quickly.. a few laps on a race track you would notice a difference

What are the major differences between drum and disc T series as far as disc/drum/caliper mounting go?

there is quite a difference between the mounts that bolt up the disc brake setup and the drum setup (I mean the part welded to the diff)
Im just looking around to see if anynoe has done it before.
thanks Shane.. your question had no positive output what so ever. I can accept and enjoy joking around but not dick heads. I think the fact that you are calling yourself "cool1" and by your comments your have shown us your true character.
BTW my car is a road registered regular driver BUT I dont like to beat it around a little especially on track. Ive thought about drilling holes in the drums and all sorts of stuff but a brake disc conversion still adds up to be better.
I dont see the point buying ANOTHER T-series diff when my is good. I think another $1000 or so just for discs.. WASTE of money.

yeah it is cause I would still have to buy a disc brake LSD.. and they are VERY expensive. also they usually have stuff LSD centres so thats enough $600 or so.

You know if you weren't so lazy to use the search button above and find out that your question has already been asked a billion times before, you may get some respect around here.
And I know this may sound a little out there, but you could even try measuring and sizing to make a brake setup for yourself.

Thing is, the T diff disc brakes are about the size of a CD, so I wouldn't really bother anyway.. which means you really need to look at making something else fit. What sort of brakes have you got up front?

there are plenty of options out there, what you need to do is search the net and then if your still keen to do something different go out and search a big wrecker like Pick & Payless where you can look at all the different setups and compare what might be an easy or effective solution for your needs and physically test fit some of the parts.
personally the AE86 rear disc's are a bit small thats why I went bigger. It took me all of half a day matching parts at the wreckers to find an easy solution. However dont bother asking me for my setup, im not about to go thru all that drama of a million questions like i have with the other articles or information ive put here, and frankly i have little time for those people who cant be bothered doing ANY research for themselves lately. Go on take a risk get out there and get your hands dirty

This is something I've copied and pasted from another thread:
"BTW go the t18 diff,st141 disc setup is supposibly a boltup,if thats what you;re after."
I think a st141's a corona isn't it? Anyway I've heard that a couple of times - corona discs bolt-up? I don't know - haven't looked into it yet...

Ive found the easiest setup for most rear ends is the skyline R31 rear brake setup.
Go measure and you will find that you dont have to do too much work to make it fit.

thanks guys Im glad there are some normal helpful people out there.
Ill check out the skyline. hey rally man where are your articles you have written? I would mind reading them.
basically I have a setup to run nissan 4 piston calipers on the front with slyline discs and custom top hats for them (2 piece brake) BUT I dont want to run it on the front yet til I work out the rear and have a brake that is matched to the front.. if I go skyline I may still be out because the front to rear weight ratio is different.
so I was wondering if anyone else has done this because then it saves me looking around, I dont mind looking around but I work til 5 and dont have the trading hours of wreckers avaliable.
