i take it steve is doing all the wiring?

looks like it should be back on the road soon, cant wait to see it driving around, but if i was you i would be too scared to take it out after time, effort, money, blood, sweat, and tears that have been put into it

10/10 for effort, build quality

Yeah man, steves wiring the computer, dash, alarm, central locking etc Dads just doing the basic wiring.

I think i know what u mean about not driving it, as long as i can keep it clean and be on top of it should be ok, and yes i'll be driving it on the track Wink

Just a quick update;

Going to Kmac tomorrow to get rear springs compressed. Pedals fitted. Gauge mounts fitted. Getting extractors back tomorrow after getting tidied up because of bad welding. Gearbox/clutch pressure plate and tail shaft fitted. Hopefully Steve can knock over most of this wiring this week end and finish off dash. Then windscreen can get fitted. Then back to bodywork.

Here's sum pics of the products im using:

The 20V has a high revving potential and last time when i had my car on the dyno it hit peak torque (286 N.M) @ almost 7000rpm and the stock tacho isnt good enough for my application

i meant 6850 rpm is peak torque, thats with the open socks (no air box) I will be running an air box now, i think that might restrict more air flow and reduce torque.... i think Confused

i know its not bad, but i'm pretty sure any 20v could pull that much torque but i have done no internal mods whatsoever. At the time i remember it was running real rich and as i said with out the air box thats probly why it had all that torque. Its a pretty astonishing engine the 20V, it blew me away when i first drove it considering its a NA 1.6L

This is how i will be running it now (with a intake hose going to the front (not shown in pic)

i think he was referring to the air filters, when he wrote "the old setup"

these pics are all the new look engine bay.

the old bay was matt black, and the engine was still silver on top with little detailing, and there was wiring everywhere.

that has all changed now. Smile

nah des, it had no probs with cooling or anything like that before it went off the road. And i'm not running the socks cuz i got to engineer the car, and im pretty sure the EPA wouldnt be too pleased if they seen the socks. I have to say it used to rev a whole lot harder with the socks though! Sad But with the airbox it felt like it was quicker off the mark but rev range dropped a bit. But the car ran beautiful, alot quieter and efficient i could pull 380kms out of a tank.

Hi Ryley
Nah there wasnt no problems gettn them for my car. I had to order one of the wheels over a yr ago and it costed $550 from Japan. My friend ordered it through the manufacturer. I'm sure Wei could probably get them in.

His website is

http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~visionr/

You could email him and find out on offset, price, style etc.

Hey Craig, when you got the trd springs... you had them compressed right? Is this because they weren't low enough for your liking? How much did it cost for this and who did it?

Thanks mate
