More Power? Fri, 07 January 2005 08:53 Go to next message
Probably Silly but how to get more power from a 2S-C?

Has Weber 32/36 DGV and Extracters to Two inch straight through.

Don't want a Lot but is pulling 120 at rear wheels would like 150-170 is Possible?

What would need to be done?

Engine Changeover is not an option, However anything serious is appreciated

120hp at the treads? That's 90kw for all the non-metrics around here... Which ain't bad for a 2S, ain't bad at all, in fact borders on unbelievable!

Anyway, is the engine in good order? If so, stick in a cam, and if you're really keen, I'll even give you a free cylinder head you can practice porting on Laughing

you could try stripping the engine and rebuilding it without all the polution gear on it, that could give some more power. always wanted to do that to my 21-RC

personally i dont believe the power output, try taking it to another dyno place. carb exhaust and extractors wouldnt give you 160+ hp at the fly unless there is something your not telling us.

maybe he was measureing with dwarf pony power not horse power

but yes my mum had a 86 corona with that engine, 4 banger 2litre carby thing yeh? and it was a pig, but with 165's on the rear it was a dori pig in the wet Razz

i reackon you be hard pressed to get 120hp at the fly let alone at the treds.

considering the 100kw 4age i got makes 140ish hp and feels about twice as quick as the coroner

but i could be wrong, i've seen a datto 1600 with the original motor worked off its tits, webber carbs, massive cams ect ect, doing crazy times down the 1/4.
