Ring the manufactures support line. They should have no problem telling you how to do it.

i would ring the company but a little birdy tells me he stole the laptop. although he assures me its legal he has lied about this stuff before i just wanna be on the safe side.
atm its with a friend who is a computer expert. I may head around later tonight and ask him about the options of taking out the bios battery. I did ask him about the jumpers already but he wasnt to sure as he hasnt delt with alot of laptops yet.

also "some" computer shops replace the internet identification chip/serial number used to identify "lost" laptops to makeit more authentic
btw call the stupid company just dont give them personal details and express baisically what u have here
u have brought it 2nd hand and the person who sold it has moved overseas and he forgot to give you the password
reli is a few hundred dollars cheaper worth the hassle over a new one ?
