i need to buy some new front rotors case one of them is warped. i have the RA65 brakes on my corona and i was wondering what other rotors i could use. i'm looking for slotted or drilled ( but i hear they crack ) can anyone give me some idea of what i'll be needing to pay and what is the best brand to have, keeping in mind as usual i'm on a budget. In other words best bang for buck.
cheers

Standard, slotted or cross-drilled will make SFA difference in terms of performance on a street car. I got slotted for my MA61 because they cost something like $10 more than standard, so I thought why the hell not - but if it was a significant difference I wouldn't have bothered.
Keep away from any sort of cross-drilled rotor, they are known to crack with severe heat cycling.

yeah the heat thing i wasn't to sure about. a mate of mine has a very well setup VW beetle and he has drilled rotors and i asked him y not just go slotted and he said cause with the weight of the beetle they neva really get hot enough to crack. would that be the same case with my corona. it's completely stripped out.

what do you use the car for?
for most applications, slotted and cross drilled are purely for bling factor. Blind drilled is another option (if you can find a place that does it), which offers some off the benefits of cross-drilled without the falling apart problem.
judging by your "totally stripped" comment, I'm guessing it's a budget track car... have you considered a brak upgrade?
