Hey Guys,
My Dads Camry (SV21) is acting funny, when first started. We have an inclined driveway, when you let go of the handbrake, to reverse out, it feels as tho, it doesn go down all the way. As on flat surface, when you stop accelerating, it basically, stops on its on, without applying the brake, when you drive off, you can hear the pads against the disk, till the part is worn, and its back to normal again. Is this a common thing? Am i making sense? What could it be?

Sv21 - i think they have a rear drums.
My car went in for a major service this-smorning, same prob + a few others.
Basically the rear drum pads are not adjusted properly, the pistons are getting old and the drums need machining. They were badly adjusted by previous person who did them *grr* so they were being pushed into the drum incorectly,causing incorect wearing and everyting that goes along with it.
To fix ->
2x new drum break pads = $40 total
2x new drum cylinder thingies (push breaks out) = $30 total
2x machinig of both rear drums = $ 40 each
Prices quoted for my Corolla... $150 all up.
Hope this is some what helpfull...
