Hey guys
Just wondering what everyone is paying on there insurance, Ive been getting a couple of quotes for them at justcars etc but they are just getting so fuckin expensive, they quoted me 1600 full comp for a car that I put down as only being worth 5k and to add to this it listed they would only cover 4k.
and to all the ppl which may put down to do a search I already did.

got a quote from them (justcars) this morning.
they didn't care it was modified..
they didn't take anything into account
apart from market value when I bought it.. ($1400)
and the payout would be $2k
so bad.
will see what happens.

dunno why u'd bother full comping an ae86 when the most payout u'll get is not much beyond 3k and u pay 1,5 a year...
i went to get 3 quotes and that was the average... i only got third comp fire n theft... ae86 body parts are relativly cheap these days anyway

She wanted $465 or something, so i said get stuffed, and she said get full insurance and itll work to be less then $1000 for the year fully covered, even Hail.
So i thought stuff it why not, been a few hachi stolen or damaged lately.
NRMA know i have a 4age motor, told them i changed from a carby motor to a efi motor,
All they were worried about was the capacity and a blue slip, but its the same capacity/same motor just different head and she's like well dont worry, so i dont.
I just pay the amount needed, unless i see it as being a money rorting exercise.
Cheers

I got a quote from shannons for my RA23 when its on the road. They wanted around 1300 full comp with an agreed value of $5000. Since my father and I are completey restoring her from the ground up, I'll probably go full comp for a year, just incase anything happens, then fire and theft after that. Its not so much the money value that I'm worried about, its all the effort that has been put into this car. If something happened to it within a year of getting it on the road I would be able to afford to fix or replace it, but all that time and effort working on her would have been wasted.
