low comp pistons for 3k? Mon, 10 January 2005 08:39 Go to next message
Are there any forged pistons available for the 3K engines which will drop the compression ratio to (approx) 8.1:1?

Are there also any heavy duty rods available or will I need to get these specially made?

a 4K head will do that. it's 3mls greater CCV.

4K dished pistons are 17cc

Thanks, that is a very viable alternative.
Is it a straight bolt on change?

yeah direct swap.

Standard rods will be fine for almost all applications too.
