had a look at a 4ac carb today, and it seems that only one of the throttle butterflys are opening, so checked another 4ac out and its 2nd butterfly wasnt opening either, anybody know what the go is there?

actually i have no idea whats wrong with it, i think my old one only opened one as well and i remember thinking maybe thats why it goes like crap, but it actually turned out to be 15deg out of timing

yeah we flattened it in neutral up to redline and the buterfly didnt budge, its obvious that it hasnt had petrol through it in a long time the hole butterfly was black...
if we could figure out how to get the other butterly working the mighty 4ac might gain a few kw!

If its any help, my secondary only opens under load. won't open when free reving. Can hear it sometimes, takes about 1-2 seconds to open once you plant your foot.
