just talked 2 the dyno tuner..
he told me he can still squeeze a couple more kilowatts out of her to push the total output to around 125kw at the wheels using the stock pulley 
if i dont sell it before the end of janurary im going to keep it...

yes your friend has just sold his for $6000 thats pretty cheap..
he might have had alot of mods done to his engine/car far greater than mine.. maybe not.. but the reason i have such a high price is because mostly everything on this car is brand new
brand new ems ecu and brand new custom wiring harness $1200 alone + $400 for installation
brand new clutch and flywheel
brand new extractors
brand new belts , oils , filters etc etc
basically brand new everything except for the engine
now im not trying to make a seen out of this but im just trying to say that i have spent alot on this on parts alone and i know i can never get it back but im under instruction to sell at around this price so i cant do anything

just remembered the fuel supply
it has been converted from carby to efi
so fuel lines fuel pump have been changed all brand new
i think it has a surge tank and a lifter pump or something like that.. cant remember will get specific information for those interested

i wish i could hang on
the workshop where the car is currently living went BANKRUPT !! and also im going overseas and if they close down while im overseas they will sell the car from under me to cover their cost 
i know some people are still on holiday but
what happend to all those wtb ae86 threads..
i have a current buyer for $9000
reason i havnt it sold it yet is because im trying to give all those wtb guys a chance but looks like they are all just time wasters

If u are urgent to sell, and really want $10,000 u need to show people that its a 10 grand car.
Maybe go down there give it a clean/polish, borrow a digicam and take some fresh snaps of it in daylight, maybe of interior too, and body blemishes etc..
the car is still over 20 years old and 10k is a lot for an old car, with standard suspension, diff and brakes. And u say everything is new apart from the engine.. how old/worn could it be? can u do a compression/leak test?
this doesnt fill me with confidence seeing the car hasnt even been driven on the road at all after u got ur power reading.. how do we know its reliable?
id probably need to spend a fair bit to get it engineered in SA so i think its beyond my price range....
good luck with the sale and yeah that is pretty impressive power output i guess, i dont know much about these engines but a mate has one with about 95kw@wheels

and i have absolutely no time to do anything but get ready..
that is why the car hasnt been brought out.. if i didnt go overseas i wouldve kept the car

yeah $10,000 might be alot for an old ae86 but im taking offers of over $9,000 because i have a current buyer at $9,000
well you never know how worn the engine could be when buying an imported engine.. but then engine is from an 89? aw11 mr2 is that helps
you just have to hope the importer is legit and not sell you a lemon that will fail the 1st run out..
compression test was done and there was no leak in gaskets, seals etc...
if you dont believe me why dont you just call incar and ask them about the sprinter they have there... they ll tell you the car is running sweet with no problems
the only reason the car hasnt been driven on the road is because its not registered / insured...
because the car was just finished...
but registration and engineers certificate will be provided with the car...
well when i first bought the car i couldve just used all used parts just to keep costs down
but i decided to get everything brand new so i wouldn't have to worry about anything going wrong..
correct me if im wrong
but if the car is engineered in sydney does it have to get re engineered in say s.a? 
yeah i was damn impressed almost thought i needed glasses hahaha
he printed it out and DAMN 117kw at the wheels
ask your mate if his using the stock 10psi pulley
because im running the stock 1

To get rego in SA car would have to have a minor regency lookover and if modified be engineered to SA standards, so i have been told.

i remember brownsters starlet got defected or warned..
its a qld car, with qld engineering. so the engineering papers aren't legal to our state..
so its a waste of money to engineer it for both you and an outside party from another state.

if its where i think his car is atm then i'd say its the tuner/dyno.
saying this cus i've been at this workshop and the tuner could only get me like 60 kws at the front wheels with aftermarket ecu.
took it to JEM and wham 90 kws easy.
