might as well get a better cam. www.crowcams.com.au
Shave port and polish, and fit stiffer springs

You could do all of that, and a couple of grand later you'll have a 16 second car. Worth it? Not IMO, but it's your money.

as said about a billion times before here, best bang for buck is a 1g-gte conversion, you get lots of bang and you only need about 5000 bucks depending on your own abilities

I had an ra65 for many years (including a 2.5" exhaust and pod filter) apart from giving the car a decent exhaust note and one of the best induction sounds I've ever heard, the performance gains were unimpressive... I recommend not polishing the turd

or drop in a 3T-GTEU
you're RA65 has a 3T-EU stock?
the 3T-GTEU is a bolt in job.
plus wiring loom/computer of course.
I have done this mod to my TA63

the "T"A63 has the 3"T" engine
the "R"A65 has the 22"R" engine, so this will not be a straight swap. better off going for a 1g if you've got bit of a mechanical know-how
