Hey guys , i recently bought a jza70 supra and have noticed sometimes after driving then stopping & idling for about 10 - 20 secs some white smoke / vapour comes out of the exhaust.. i'm gonna check the PCV valve tonight to see if this is the problem but what else could it be - valve stem seals?
i dont think its a turbo related problem because it doesnt blow smoke on boost. The car is also in need of a service & coolant flush , not sure if its related to the problem.
hmmm im not sure , but id be more inclined to say it was steam than smoke .. it doesnt really smell like burning oil either, it doesnt always do it though.. seems kinda intermittant. But fark - could be head gasket .. thats not good
Ahhhh yes , my power steering does have leaks and the resevoir is losing a bit of fluid ... how bad for the engine is it to leave it like this? and do you know how much it costs to get this problem fixed?
