Hi, It's time for more power, im wondering if anyone knows someone that can supply and fit a twincam turbo motor to my 1976 TA22 celica. I don't have the tools or room at home. Let me know if you need more info. (melb area)

Unless you're looking for a "solid" from a friend, you're probably going to have to take it to a performance workshop and will probably pay through the teeth.
Honestly, unless you are attached to your baby, just sell it and buy a already modified car. Depends on where you go and what you want but I can't imagine much change from $10K if they do everything (brakes and all that)

You could get a 151E through toysport but it would probably cost the 1st born of everyone on the forum.

I love my car, i have around 5k sitting aside for it. if i was going to do this i would like it done properly. I might keep an eye out for a modified TA22 with a bit of go.

dont be weak do it yourself you will save a bomb then with 5k u might have some change left over.

3T-GTE or a 1G-GTE are probably the most common swaps, lots of info on those on these forums here.

nah, not a 1G in a TA22. won't fit (not easily anyway).
the only easy mod You'll do for less that 5K would be a 3tgte, everything else requires more custom work.

I coulda sworn Rod put a 1G in Tina's TA22, or maybe it was a 23. Ah who knows...

I think tina had a RA28. I bought the shell of her anyway.
TA22's have a much shorter engine bay.
