Hey guys,
just had a random thought...
Is there any merit in looking for a Corona with 22r and a manual with the idea of doing a little transplanting into a RA28 that has a 18r-c with an auto??
thanks,
CamZH

You don't want to hold for a 18RG??? A lot more power.. 100kw compared to (i think) 67kw?? ... You won't see a huge difference between the 18RC and 22R..
There's a manual box for sale on the forums for $100...

I like the idea of buying a whole car, then i have all the bits i need to do the conversion.
I guess the gear box would be the most useful part, but i figured i might as well throw in the 22r.
Does anyone know what they are like on fuel?
cant be worse than the current 18r-c, its using about 10l/100km
and thats easy driving

22r has a shitload of torque more than a 18r and will beat a 18r anyday easy
im in the middle of a pretty big conversion on a 22re and am expecting low 14 second quarter mile passes at least, this is relatively cheap for me as i can do all the work myself
there is a shitload of engine conversions you COULD do and most people pn this forum will suggest a 1g-gte for whatever reason i dont know as they are by no means the most powerful toyota motor and you have to weld new engine mounts into any car may as well go a 2jz-gte, 1jz-gte or even a 1uzfe
many options, just remember anybodys 'advice' on here is only their honest opinion so explore every avenue
cheers a lot
