	| KE71 | Wed, 12 January 2005 12:47 | | |
	| hey guys, i have a couple of ?'s about ke71 corollas...
Is installing a 4age fairly straight forward?(same engine, gearbox mounts, legalities, etc)

is there any coilovers that fit the ke71's?

also, i've been told that they are basically the same as a sprinter...just a different shape...is this true? because it will be setup for drift and i cant see the point in paying for an over priced car like a sprinter...when there is a much cheaper and very simmilar car available...

 thanks
 joe

	| Join the club....
i've been reading for weeks trying to apply all the sprinter tech to the ae71..

there is a small revolt against paying 5000 for a sprinter as opposed to 500 for pervious models..

 good luck with it

	| I think there will be no legality issues with a 4age in an AE71 (not KE70) because it's a 4a class engine.
I think some suspension bits that are common on a KE70 + ae86.

	| You can do a KE70, but you'll need to swap the pedals, crossmembers, tailshaft, clutch cylinder, and a few other sundry bits. | |

	| I would like to know about the KE71...
They can be set up like a sprinter?

Aparently they have 4? series engines. Does that mean you can fit a 4AG without engineering?

If I wanted to set the car up with a 4agze does anyone know what would be involved. Special crossmemeber, any particular front cut?

 please search.

 there is no KE71.
there is no 4 series engine.
4AG into anything that never got it as an option WILL ALWAYS require engineering.
 yes.
 yes.
no.. seen a RWD GZE lately?

	| What is the model for the shovel noesed, rwd corolla that came out as a sprint model? It was the last of the rear wheel drive ones?
Some guys I use to know were going to put in a 4ag with, but said they needed a particular crossmember and something about reversing the manifold on a fwd 4ag to get it to work in a rwd.

And yes, I have seen a couple of rwd 4ags around. Mostly for sale as part of some project car.
