well the aussie dollar is going up in value compared to the us which is what oil is paid for in and the price of oil has decreased hence the price of petrol has dropped dong

Petrol is only about 50cents for premium in the filipines, although the quality could be pretty poor.

its about that price in malaysia as well. but its subsidies by the government. the down side is there is a 200% import tax rule
