1995 Soarer has that feature as well. I agree... should be on all cars.

Hi,
Mine tells me if a brake light is out, but not the parkers or other lights. Also beeps when the ignition is off and the lights are left on. And it rings little chimes when I go over 110kph (which is an extremely rare affair for me, nowadays)- it's a silly sound and I'd like to change it to "Kashmir" or something. Plus, it has an extra set of night-lights that run off the hazard switch, which can be switched to either left, right or both sides of the car. Good old 1973 Jap technology.

From what I can tell it works for rear brake lights, and rear parkers.
Number plate lights definately don't work on it, and nor do reverse lights.
