Hi,
Having recently becoming an owner of a 1972 TA22 Celica, I was after some info about my new beast!

As I mentioned I have recently became the proud owner of the classic "coke bottle shape Celica. After making my purchase, I proceeded to take my Celica for a cruise to show off my new ride to my mates.
After seeing it and going for a spin themselves I was informed that I had purchased my ride for a bargain price. I was just interested to get an opinion from some people who knew a bit more about Celicas than myself.

As I said my car is a TA22 model, with a LT body being pretty straight and recently resprayed in WRX blue, has drag way rims, Stereo and speakers, a 2TGEU engine (1600, DOHC, EFI), MT8 Microtech computer with handset, T18 gearbox, extractors, 2 1/4, inch sports exhaust system, elect. fuel pump and a thermo fan.

If anyone could give me a more informed idea of its value, it would be greatly appreciated.

it's very hard to place a value without more info...

Anywhere between $2000-$5000 depending on quality of work..

I wouldn't expect more than $5000 for an RA23/TA22 with an 18RG/2TG engine and some other mods, all up in very good condition.

Yup wouldn't go for more than $5000, and it'd have to be very nice to sell for that.

Its hard to say mate as it depends on so many variables, the big question is what did you pay? I think if the spray job was done well and the running gear is good then 5k is definately a bargain but saying that I wouldnt sell mine for anything less then 10k and most people would say im dreamin, depends on the buyer i guess! Atleast one thing is for sure...you have great taste in cars Very Happy
