1989 Celica ST162 White-Lightning (24/1/2005)
|

|
|
To make a long story short, i tried selling my Whitelightining for about 2 weeks when i bought my R31 in jap, i flew over there and visited my friend, who took me to see the car. After a few nights of thinking, i sold the 31. Reason? I've gone through too much to get the celica, made a lot of friends, and i aint bout to abandon the car which gave it all to me. Anyways... My car is now gonna be with me for a very very long time providing that i wont have any bad accidents (Touch WOod) You will never .... ever.... ever... never.... ever see DED-53T in the for sales section ever..... ever..... ever again.
Here's a few updated pixies of my Pride and Joy!
Mods are:
4-1 Extractors
K&N Pod air filtre
2.5" Cat back system
Super Lowered suspension
17" GTR Wannabees
3S-GE GenII
This is whats gonna go in the car in the following weeks:
GT4 ST164 Brake caliper + Dish (front only till i can source the rear ones)
Complete Zorst system
King Lows (Raising Suspension a bit so it wont be a pain to go over speed humps)
16" BBS Rims from Warrior
Some paint job.
LSD (BEAMS: pointz at RoB )-Thats if i can find one ofcause!
Ultimately, when the time and price is right, I'll slowly gather resources and put a 3S-GTE in, but this wont happen for a few years... as they say, It wont happen over night..... but IT WILL HAPPEN!
~Chopin
oh and i forgot to add, its been nearly 4-5 weeks since i asked about the Air con regas, i still havent done that yet... and i'm cooking in the sun !!

Thanks 74gt for that nice comment, im sure theres 2 other nice beautiful 162s being built right now... namely Warrior's ST162 GT2, and RobST162's ST162 .... the 165 is normally called the GT4 cause it has the 3SGTE engine. The aussie ones like mine only has 3SGE therefore 162 Thanks again for the comments

Very nice clean car. That'll have to be the best looking kit on the market for the ST162 - it's exactly the kind of shape the ST162 needs: more ST165-ness with a bite. Looks very good in white, as well. Nice example, this!

Good to hear you snapped out of it and came to your senses!!
As you have discovered, ST162 ownership is one of life's great pleasures! I have loved them since I was in Year 8 (1985, when the 162 was released) and I plan on keeping mine for a long time yet.
Funny how most 162 owners end up saying that, huh? We must be onto something......

mate the amount of kw is only limited to your money source
that thing can easily go way over 100. and i mean N/A

More Pics... **Goodness**
Ready to take her in, getting some checks done...
Here are the Pros doing their job .. on ya dudes
Shes Spinning
Special Thanks to ROBST162 for his contribution to the Photos taken on Dyno Day 10
The car came out with 77fwkw, a figure that i think can def be future increased... on the day, she was running 91ron, retarted timing (For maintenance b4) and felt detuned... So hopefully by the next time, the figure will hit the good mid 80s.
Cheers,
Chopin

Hey mate, its acutally a simple process, you dont need any variable resister etc... this is what you do:
1/ Turn the light switch onto the first slot (Which does nothing - no lights)
2/ Pull back on the stick for high beams.... then let go: the lights should stay poped up.
3/ Turn the light switch to the off position
4/ when the lights starts to go down... quickly turn the light switch onto the first slot again (Same as 1/) THis should stop the light from going down, yet stop it from going up
Theres ur sleeperz eye

lol partly right guys....
But
last time i bought the suspension off karl, i had to put the rear seats down + removal of the parcel shelf...
so going on full load on da way home, this classic asian woman driver overtakes me and breakes cause she wants to turn into the M5.... and the M5 "entry" wasnt actually the entry, it was exit.... so i breaked as hard as i can, i have suspension flying all over the cabin, the subwoofer ended up on the front seat, i have no idea how it got there musta flew, broke connection, hit the centre console, rebounded back in the driver seat... anyways.... so my sound system is completely "FOOKED"
Therefore im gonna get the Anti shock deck + some nice wires for my sound soon ...
But YAY, i get to listen to the front speakers!!! They are stock!!! WOOT!!!
